How often do men really think about sex?

What are you thinking about right now? Given that you’re reading this article, you’re probably thinking about sex.

I know there’s a good chance you were thinking about it anyway. Everybody knows that men like to think about sex. I know I like to think about sex.

But is it true that men think about sex every 7 seconds?

I mean that is a lot of sex; Even for me.

Sometimes, I admire my friends who tell me they are so busy they just have one sexual thought a day. I am always like: don’t you look around? I comfort myself by saying, perhaps, they were busy doing adult stuff, or perhaps they spent most of the day having sex.

But did you know that the more comfortable one is with his or her sexuality, the more likely you are to think about sex? As a man thinketh, so is he.

Researchers found that men think about sex 19 times a day and food a close second at 18 times a day. Ladies on the other hand think about sex 10 times a day and food 15 times a day.

But when men think about sex, it’s not always about wanting to have sex, it could be about other things such as:

‘Am I too small?’: Is my penis big enough or hard enough? Am I pleasing my partner? The starting point is sex education. Most men who think their penis is too small actually have perfectly normal-sized penises. Learning about what’s normal in sex and your body is always a good reassurance and can prevent anxieties when you become intimate.

‘Am I doing it right?’: Well, maybe or maybe not. The thing is, there is no excuse here. This is that area where good sexual communication with your partner is the key to unlocking a healthy sexual relationship. Getting feedback about what they want and getting direction is going to ensure you give them pleasure.

‘Can I replicate what I saw in porn’: Well, that’s unlikely! Here’s the truth, there’s nothing wrong with watching and enjoying porn but be careful not to set such standards for yourself, especially in terms of stamina and penis size. What is shown in porn is not entirely an accurate representation of how most men’s bodies look, and how long sexual acts last, or even how hard a man’s penis gets.
